Organization-Wide Trauma (cont.)

This is where CenterPoint’s Open KI Management Model comes in. The model has less to do with any pre-conceived ideas, and more to do with what the situation requires at the time. There may be a complex number of problems that co-exist and are creating problems—CenterPoint consultants never jump in and prescribe the solutions to those problems or how we would like the outcome to unfold. This openness is what we call the empty vessel approach, because it allows the best solutions to emerge, rather than using a pre-conceived idea of how something should be fixed and imposing that on people and systems.

In addition to using this open system model, a good interim executive should be skilled at brainstorming potential partnerships and leveraging win-win situations, understand the nuances of working with diverse staff and client populations, and have a strong grasp on the particulars of marketing and sales.
